Jan...as in Farmerjan 🤗. The swap is first or second sat in May & in Sep....in Glen Allen, just outside of Richmond. We'll remind you! 😁 We walk, talk, visit, look about, have lunch and leave. Its like a big country yard sale. Plan on it. 👍. We usually get there 8:30 ish.

Just thought I would jump in on here too... Yes, we have a real nice day at Gilmanor.... I have known Joel for over 30 years .... purebred poultry connection.... through a very special friend that has since passed away. Started going to the Richmond Poultry show (Va Poultry Breeders) back in the 80's and have gone many many times over the years. It has moved around from the old State Fair at the raceway, to it's home now @ Caroline County Fairgrounds. I have not been in 3 years due to ankle and knee replacements and coming down with a "bug" this year. It's always the Sat before Thanksgiving in Nov.....

But @Mini Horses and I have been meeting at Gilmanor a couple times now. Yep, we have fun, walk around (now that my new parts allow me to do so without pain !!!!) and just talk about any & everything. We have also been blessed with pretty nice weather each time.

It's the first Sat in May and the 3rd Sat in Sept....

Would love to meet you.... I try to "announce it" a few weeks ahead here on the forum, for any other members looking to take a Sat off and come and have a get together....

Looking forward to it!!!
I got my first chickens from there YEARS ago. First heard of it from the BYC forum. The last time I went, they were pulling just about everyone out of the parking lot with tractors - it was a MUD BOG! I had just gotten an ancient old 'new to me' 4wd and didn't have much of an issue.

Canesisters I am so glad you are posting again! I have read all your threads on the sister sites (in chronological order), and when I got to the end I was so sad that there were no current posts. I’m looking forward to hearing more about your farm. Did you sell Eva’s heifer calf or keep it?

Oops! Dummy me. This whole thread is about the calf not being able to empty the two back quarters. 🙄 Glad that that seemed to be resolving!
HI!
Most likely, the heifer calf on the other site was Patty and she was NUTS (mean, dangerous nuts - not the silly good kind) and when I couldn't get any interest in someone adding her to their beef herd, she was shipped to the processors as soon as I could arrange a ride for her.
This is Blossom and she just turned 2 weeks old this past Tues. :)

I got totally overwhelmed at work for a very long time. Very little happened around the farm worth posting about on the gardening site. After 10yrs of begging I FINALLY got help at work!!! :celebrate And suddenly I have a little time to 'waste' - SHHHHHH!!!! Don't tell my boss!!! 😂
