Hi ,so glad you enjoyed the program, I have some Net friends outside of Evanston, they used to have Suffolks as well.Anywhere close to you? Frank aka T.O.R.
You do a great job with the program! And Evanston is not super closer to me, but I somewhat know where it is. Crazy how it is that you do know someone from here.

Thank you, Frank! I was able to hear the entire broadcast with Dana aka Baymule! So much fun! Looking frward to other guest speakers from all ver the world. I am putting you on my calendar on the 1stvand 4th Monday (here) and will try to listen in each time. What about Daylight Savings time? Do you have that in Australia? We just "Sprang forward" and turned our clocks 1 hour forward.
G'day Rydge,we are in DST now and we will be turning our clocks back in the next few weeks.I will let you all know when it happens.I am absolutly amazed that the station got the recording up so fast. The station manager also posted a link on my FB page,so others can hear the broadcast after the event..T.O.R.

So Bruce, are you East of Baymule?
Very much so, Vermont is north of New York City. Longitudinally I am about 2,000 km east of Bay and about 2,400 km NE as the chicken flies.

I am also east of both @Mini Horses and @farmerjan in Virginia though they are mostly south of me. @Mike CHS is between Bay and Jan/Mini. The 4 of us are on Eastern time, Bay is Central.

@Ridgetop is about as far west of Bay as I am east. That gives you some appreciation for all the driving they are doing going back and forth to the new farm in Texas! She is West coast time so 3 hours "behind" those of us on Eastern.

Informative on what? How to fight an armadillo 10:30 at night in a robe and rubber boots, with the help of a frenzied Anatolian? Where was the video!
Bay, it was a RADIO show!!! We can only create the video in our minds from your oral description ;)

Hi Bruce, what is your livestock farm at the moment ? Maybe I can have you on the program later in the year? To have someone from the NE East Coast would be interesting ,it would be like comparing SE australia (where I am) to west coast in Western Australia. Anyway as time goes on I would like some of you to come on the program like Jan and Poka Doodle to chat about livestock farming in different parts of the US...T.O.R.

Jan would be excellent as she can not only talk about raising cattle, hay for sale, but also about milk testing for the cow dairies. Milk testing is a whole other aspect of the farming/ranching venue since it deals directly with dairy output. With that much to cover you might want to have her on twice.

Hi Bruce, what is your livestock farm at the moment ? Maybe I can have you on the program later in the year?
My "livestock" farm consists of:
  • 2 gelded alpacas the people down the road were getting rid of a few years ago as they were moving to Florida. Their 5 white girls were "desirable" because the fiber is easier to dye, the boys (one black, one brown and white) were not. We have unused fields, other than I mow them twice a year to keep the weeds down, they saw an opportunity to unload the boys free of charge to me (other than fencing).
  • 21 layers of various breeds aged 2 years to 8 years
So, not exactly a farming operation ;)
