Anyone ever had lip piercings? What do you think of them?

Personally I think they're trashy. I've yet to see a facial piercing that enhanced someone's look. They're just distracting.

Ok I’ll throw in my opinion for whatever it is worth. Facial piercings are not attractive. I’m sure your face is beautiful as it is, why mangle it with metal?

So I don't think anything is wrong with my face, I'm sure nobody looks at me and thinks I need a face piercing, but I view face piercings like makeup or jewelry, they're subjective accessories meant to enhance your face, I like my lips, I'll like a tiny rhinestone there, just like I like my ears and put hoops and studs all over them.

Also none of what I said is meant to be combative or argumentative, I totally see your point even if I'm still going to bedazzle my lip.

Get a belly button piercing instead.

They're definitely cute but I never show skin. Maybe I'll get one just for me someday

Get multiple piercings on your ears and decorate to your hearts desire.

Four on each lobe atm, about 3-5 more cartilage on each is the plan.

Bits of metal stuck in your face don’t help your looks, they detract from the beauty you already have.

Yeah, that's the one thing I'm worried about, they are quite the eye catchers but I've found 2mm beads that are teeeeeny tiny and I think it'll look like I'M the one wearing the jewelry and not that the jewelry is wearing me

If you are set on a lip piercing, go for it, it’s your face, your decision. I’ll respect it either way. No facial piercing and artfully applied makeup sure makes a prettier picture.

Yes I definitely will. I'm going to have it in about three weeks and I'll be sure to update with my lip ring

Again, not a fan of how big the beads are and I'd like to switch to tiny rhinestones but for now it's not too bad. With a little eyebrow makeup after it heals I think it'll look more proportional and more like jewelry.

Well unfortunately I lost the eyebrow piercing. I tried to change the jewelry since it was swelling but as soon as the ball was unscrewed the bar got sucked up into the hole and I couldn't safely reopen it

So I avenged the eyebrow with the vertical labret after all

I'm changing the bar to a shorter one in a couple minutes since the swelling stopped and the long bar one keeps getting snagged and twisted.

That's okay
I know it's not going to land well with most people.

I do hate how long and dangly it is right now. Plus those beads on the ends are almost twice as big as I want them. It definitely overwhelms my face at the moment.
