Any news on the "breeding the cow" situation?
I haven't seen definate In Heat behavior in a long while.
I've tracked when it should be happening on the calendar so I'll know when to watch closely & maybe to pull her into the stalls to check her rear end.

If she is not settling, how about using some of the hormone tags to bring her into estrus and lengthen her seasons? I have never used them but I know that some people have to bring seasonal breeding sheep into estrus when they needed to lamb in a certain month.
She's never had trouble settling before. She bred earlier this year, on the first try. But then she lost the calf a couple of months later. Most likely because she was way past due for vaccs & had likely been exposed to some things from visiting deer herds. ☹️
Vaccs updated & boosted.... temps much cooler.... ready to try again. 👍

Had a GREAT weekend so far.
@fuzzi came Friday afternoon. The cats were very welcoming! 😂 And we had fun chatting & making a delicious dinner.
Up early Sat to pick up my friend Carmen & head to the swap.
We met up with @farmerjan & @Mini Horses . A bit of breakfast, a lot of walking, a little shopping & lunch in the feed shed on stacks of feed bags.
Thank goodness that we were in my small car..... there was a mammoth donkey colt there that was in desperate need of a rescue home. He looked like he had had a rough start 😢
Poultry of ALL KINDS, pigs, sheep, goats, & many many many other critters of every shape & size.
I came home with a bag of paw-paw seeds & 2 new roosters.
