I have several flats of canned fruits and vegetables that I bought when we were being told that food supply lines were being cut. I was thinking of opening the really old canned stuff and feeding it to the compost. Some of the canned food was past "sell date" but, when I opened it, smelled and tasted fine.
Same here. I keep saying I'll do that - but it's somehow just not getting done. Hmmm :hide :idunno-- think it's clear out, check, toss and reorganize. Ready for a new year and more canning.

Same here. Hmmm -- perhaps a pantry clean out is in order for me. Goodness knows there's stuff in there from 2020 when I was stocking up after moving in and then the lockdown.
Same here! My pantry is downstairs (not convenient, but glad I have it) and it's overdue for a good cleaning and reorganizing, along with the laundry room.

I moved so fast when I sold the farm in Lindale that I didn’t have time to pack properly. I had a portable building 12x24, full of tools, stuff, and who knows what. @Ridgetop and her husband were helping me pack and load. I had a bunch of trash cans for feed, dog food, etc. her husband said to pack stuff in the portable building in the trash cans and that’s where most of that stuff still is. I brought a 10x16 portable building to my son’s house, then here. I barely have room for the trash cans that hold feed, it is crammed. There is a shed that had a dirt floor, I laid pallets down and covered with plywood scraps. It even has doors on it! Neither one is rat proof. I hate rats. So here I am, everything in disarray, nothing organized and a lot of stuff still unpacked. Two 40’ shipping containers out in the field, and I have to tear down a outbuilding, a roping chute full of blackberry canes and small trees, the remnants of a round pen, the posts are railroad cross ties, the crappiest chicken pens I’ve ever seen, and I can MOVE the shipping containers, block them up, set up shelf units and GET ORGANIZED. This is on my radar, I have begun. I get sidetracked, go do something else, but I return. I want my tools where I can freaking find them. RANT RAVE RANT
