I'm being mean to him, we do have extra sometimes, but never enough...lol I'd buy what we need and 10 extra to have on hand, then I'd replenish that as needed.

I do that. I try and keep extra's of everything we normally end up needing in stock. DH always says he kicks himself for not buying extra of things then says he needs to go to town and get such and such and I pull out the ones I've stashed away. I tend to do that with most things. I'd rather we have what we need when doing a job if possible vs having to stop and go to town or wait for an order. Especially here. Nothing is ever in stock at our stores. Seems that's a little different at our new place though. It's a ways to town but they seem to have things in stock or know another store that does and they aren't afraid to send us to another competitors store. Supplies are getting slimmer here so I'll have some restocking to do once we are moved. However things are a lot different there so using up what we have and replacing there with what we'll use there seemed like a better idea than dragging a bunch of stock of things they don't use there.
