    hogs not breeding

    Why do hogs not breed? One boar and one sow grew up together. Weigh in at about 250-275 pounds each. They are both over a year old. Do I need to be patient or should I consider butcher. Climate right now is warm here in Central New York.

    Myke, I hope that you are having success with the breeding. To date I'm losing about half or more of my new borns within two or three days and one time the entire litter was lost before the day was over.
