I finally heard back from the Sherrifs department, and they said there is an exception to the "no shoot" load for protecting property/livestock/crops. So, now I guess I need to go to the shooting range, to make sure I will actually be able to hit anything. - bob

I may have the chance to get some Soay sheep. These would be my first sheep, currently we have chickens and ducks. From what I have been reading, Soay are a little more "low maintenance" than other sheep or goats. Does anyone here have experience with them? Do you think they would be OK for...

I'm going to be putting up some field fencing, and have been seeing a wide variability in pricing. It's almost twice as expensive here in California as in places like Colorado. It might almost be cheaper to ship it half way across the country than to buy it here, as crazy as that sounds. So...

so, DNR/ fish and wildlife seemed to only be about hunting, I couldnt really find anything about protecting your own property/ livestock. I sent an email to the local sherrifs dept, hopefully they will get back to me. - bob
