    First litter butchered

Ya that's what I was a little apprehensive about was the first time I took a animal that I raised and butchered them I was mostly worried about the dispatch. I wanted it as painless as I possibly could out of respect for the animal's.

    First litter butchered

Today I butchered out my first rabbit litter I have butchered rabbits before but only ones shot while hunting. I was a little apprehensive with the first one but this was the reason I got them for and it went fairly smooth for the most part. In all I butchered out 7 rabbits that ask weighed...

    New litter on the way

Thanks I think so she's done real good with her litters and she's protective of them too with her first litter when I was checking them she did bite me once. But now she's learned I'm not gonna hurt them so she's calmed down but she does watch everything I do and when I'm done she shoves her...

    ELECTRIC MEAT GRINDER

I used to pack. Up my deer meat and take it to my mom and dads and. Use my mom's grinder attachment for her kitchen aid mixer that would usually take about 4 hours to grind what I wanted grinded off a deer. Until I found a hand crank grinder on sale at rural king for 6 bucks so I grabbed it it...

    My Hutch Set Up

Nope so far none of them have even chewed on the chicken wire as far as I know the biggest problem I have had is with the salt wheel in the cages. When I clipped it on the side of the chicken wire it started rusting the wire within a week. But to fix that I just ran some bailing wire and hung...

    New litter on the way

Well here's a picture of the 10 little ones born Friday. I think the doe that had them is gonna be my best producer. So far in 2 litters she's had 18 total where as my other doe has only had 9 in 2 litters her first one had 5 that didn't survive and 4 for her second that are about 3 weeks old...

    4 week old rabbits

All I know is with the ones I got from this litter they all weigh 4 pounds right now planning on butchering when they hit 5 or 6 pounds. Which with the way they are growing I think will be by the end of the month or within the first 2 weeks of next month.

    New litter on the way

Well my doe finally kindled at around 3PM my fiancé went out to check and she was in the box not moving so she stood back and waited and after about 10 minutes she hopped out and she could just see the little ones working their way into all the hair she pulled. I just got home from work and went...
