I'm NO expert...but one of my does (who built a nest in the box the first time) did the same thing. I just move the 'nest' and the kits into the box after they're born. But watch closely around her due date....so if the kits do wander onto the wire, you can get them all safely into the box...

Ok...I might have to take a vacation to VT and pick up Freyja! Sooo cute....

I know a little about that...I grew up being a teacher's kid! My brothers did all kinds of 'bad' things...and mom ALWAYS found out from one of her 'friends'...it didn't matter what school! I was smarter than the boys....

OK...couple of things....Kitty is ADORABLE! I don't know why;...maybe it's her hairy face! She's moorit right? I think I have a "thing" for moorits! Sore mouth kinda looks like a herpes type of thing! Makes sinese if it's on their udders too. It looks rough! Hopefully they'll all heal soon...

You know...I wonder if you could put some kind of 'electric' fence/charged wire around the base of your hutches...so IF the dogs DID come back...they'd HAVE to touch the HOT wires to try and get at the bunnies! You could turn that box all the way up...give them little K9 nasties a NICE jolt of...
