I think he’s not drinking as much. Definitely less poo. Today was almost half of normal. Otherwise he seems himself - good appetite and normal attitude and activity. He has a salt lick and I know he uses that. How concerned should I be?

Just chiming in - a true friend will respect your need to protect your land for your own use. If he doesn't respect your concern for how you want to steward your land, and your friendship suffers as a result, then he wasn't your friend. He was using you.

Wow - 2 years! I admit I'm ignorant about many things goat-related. Why the long wait? Please, if you will, fill me in on what made her hard to find (other than her beautiful face) . . . maybe the story-telling will help pass the time while you wait for her to kid . . . . :P

Slightly off topic, but I think Spotz is the prettiest goat I've ever seen. I very much hope, if we ever get in a place to have some of our own, that I'm lucky enough to find one like her. My fingers are crossed for you that she has three doelings as beautiful as she is. Best wishes!

I'm new, and admittedly ignorant - is it maybe a good thing that your dog found the baby? I would think that, if it did indeed slip under the door, that if it hadn't been attended by the dog it might have died? In spite of making the nursing more complicated? This is me looking for education...
