Kinda unfortunatly (because of the work involved), but I love each one!! I am owned by:
100+ head of sheep (not counting lambs)
10 cows
8 horses
6 goats
2 donkeys
2 llamas
10 turkeys
19 pigs + 3 litters of piglets
75ish chickens
72 rabbits
5 dogs
6 cats
a small flock of geese
;)
Nice turkeys!!! Let us know how the egg hatching goes! I am going to be getting turkeys this spring for the first time!!! (so excited) :weee
DON'T POST LISTS LIKE THAT!!!!!!! I am not ready to think of my spring chores!!! ;)
I usually do them once a year (the whloe flock), in the fall when it starts to freeze pretty hard at night. I use Ivermectin.
Some years, I have to worm in the early-mid summer as well, if the year is a wet one because we end up with a lung worm issue. If I find a sheep with a worm problem, I do...
PS : I HATE shopping too!!!! Lol, too would soooo much rather be pulling a calf, vaccinating sheep or shoveling manure than go to town!!! ;)
Did ya get a name for the puppy!! If not, how about "Ruby", or "Tia"!
Nice rabbits!!! What do you do with all those baby bunnies?
I raise rabbits too! Standared Rex, and Flemish Giants. They are basically for meat and breeding sales.
I know what you mean about bad winter!!!! :ep It has been horrid over here too!!!!
Welcome to Journaling!!!!
I am looking forward to reading about your little farm!!!
There seems to be a shortage of us Canadians on the forum!!! ;) Lol!
Mine get wormed at weaning. About 5 months old!
I follow a scheduale on the worming.
Ewes get wormed every fall. Sometimes in the early summer, depending on the year.
Every fall when the ewes get done and the lambs are weaned, the lambs get wormed as well!
