I have been reducing my herd lately due to an impending move. Right now, I'm down to three does and a buckling. I still have Periwinkle, Wanda, Eshki, and little Cosmo. Eshki is the maternal grandma of Cosmo.

I'm going to be moving this year, and sadly, I can't take my goats. I'll need to sell them all. I have 10 babies and 7 adults. I live in Terrell, TX. Is it a good idea to sell them on Craigslist, or can I sell them here?

Two does just gave birth this week! Raina (the black and white Nigerian) gave birth to a buckling and a doeling. Wanda (the boer/Nubian) gave birth to 2 bucklings.

First babies of the year just came! Three bucklings were born to my Nigerian dwarf doe Molly. The daddy is Bilbo, the young buck I got earlier this year. For some odd reason, the black ones have floppy ears, even though both parents have straight ears.

Sorry it's been 2 years since you've posted this, but just found this post :) I've had rabbits of this size difference before back in 2016. Rixel was a 3/4 Lionhead and 1/4 Netherland Dwarf buck, and Ursabelle was a Flemish giant doe. They had 9 babies! They're long gone now; this was 5 years...

I did lose a baby once, but I can't point a finger to any particular predator. There are raccoons, opossums, and the occasional coyote on the property.

I know I came to this conversation a little late, but I would agree that drowning is cruel. It's just an awful way to control any animal. There's raccoons on the property I rent on, and I'm actually delighted to see them when I take an occasional night walk.
