I got an ultrasound done. The vet didnt see any babies. But tilly could've been a few days outside the window for an ultrasound. We are like 90% sure that shes not pregnant.
Willow is a nigerian/saanen cross. 7 weeks old. Ive been giving her 8oz twice a day. cows milk. She has been eating hay, a little grain, chewing her cud, good temp, active. The only weird thing is her inconsistent poops. She ranges from logs, to normal, to liquid everyday. I thought maybe...
As far as I know they have not been tested for any thing or had any shots. How would I do the CD/T, BoSe, and selenium? If the vet could do it all, as well as the coccidia test, is is worth the expense to get the vet out and do it all at once?
The breeder didn't do regular shots, they just medicate as needed. I am new, so I haven't done any shots or vaccines either, as I don't know which ones are strictly necessary. I only have small herd of 2, soon to be 3, goats. I have a 7 week old doe on the bottle. She has been having a little...
I am just getting started with goats as well. Id say set up an area maybe 25 by 25 and see how long it takes them to eat it. If they eat it really fast, then next time you set it up make it bigger. It all depends on how much there is to eat and how fast/ much your goats will eat.
Im glad I found this thread! I just got a 4 month old ND doe 2 weeks ago. She was 3.5 months old at the time. The breeders housed their bucks with their does! 2 mature bucks, and some younger ones. It didn't even occur to me until now that our sweet little Tilly could be pregnant way too young...

I have a 4 month old ND that was at the breeders until 2 weeks ago. The breeder housed her bucks and does together! 2 mature bucks, and a few young bucks. So my question is what are the odds she got pregnant at 3.5 months, and what are the odds of her and the baby(s) surviving?
Hi Guys! Im curious about your feeding schedules. Do you have guidelines that you follow for all your goats? Like what you feed, and how much? at 2 months old? 4 months old? 6 months old? A year old? Do you change what you feed from when they are young to when they are adults? For Dwarfs? Full...
-I don't feed alfalfa hay, I just grab couple bales of whatever available locally.
-I have been feeding just a half a cup of grain a day... I have heard scary things about feeding to much grain... do you think I would be fine to up it to 1 cup a day?
-About the minerals... I was planning on...
