    Prayer Requests & Praises

Thank you. I have a referral to a specialist but since my daily iron needs are being met through diet I believe I will wait on that. Sometimes the medical professionals depend too much on pills, surgery and such. It seems to me I need to go to a local gynecologist first. The one I have in...

    ldawntaylor - bits and pieces

Yes, I will be able to recognize the symptoms. I have to be really vigilant right now since my body doesn't have the reserves of iron that it should. They should build back up, I just have to be careful until then.

    ldawntaylor - bits and pieces

Where has the time gone? Four months and I can't remember a lot of it. As I read the posts here and at BYC that fills some of the blanks. Some of that "I can't remember" stuff has to do with just doing routine things. And those activities just making one day blend into the next in looking...

    Prayer Requests & Praises

First, praise report...perhaps the biggest ever for me...I am still able to tell my tale. Let me explain. For the last several months I had been feeling more tired than usual and lacking motivation to do anything on my days off. I was sick for a lot of the month of August. Finally on the...

New Additions and How They Grow

I can report some progress today. I just hope it lasts. That Wyandotte only went after the little ones once today. She won't let them come close, which is fine.

New Additions and How They Grow

Well, everything is going well. Everyone is out and about. I think I will go do a little more weeding. I can get back quickly if something goes wrong. Also, I will be within sight and hearing.

New Additions and How They Grow

My chicks are still in the integration pen most of the time. One of my Wyandotte hens has taken a real dislike. She doesn't just peck when they get too close like the others. She actively chases any of the six she can see. I think she is the lowest in the pecking order. There is only one...

    Goats&moregoats: KickinUpDust Farm Journal

Yeah, I think I've seen you on that other forum a time or two. I tend more often in the spring and summer. All those cute babies hatching and growing up, you know.

    Goats&moregoats: KickinUpDust Farm Journal

I think several of us have both goats and chickens. They're cute and grow to be a productive part of your farm. I hope you enjoy these additions of yours.

    Coffee anyone ?

Maybe you can get another. Or maybe you still have the original box and it has flaps that can be taped to extend the sides? Making do with what we have can be such a challenge.

    Coffee anyone ?

If I went that route I would want to be sure the ink was non-toxic. I use cardboard and mulch too. But only on walkways between my raised beds.

    Coffee anyone ?

Good morning everyone, May I suggest a cardboard box? The ones some businesses get light weight paper goods in comes to mind. At my work nursing dept. gets disposable briefs in large boxes. At your children's ages I would have had a lot of fun. Turning something like that into a little...

Do you have deer netting tyo put around the trunks? Of course, that would need replaced periodically.

High Desert Cowboy- How far is it up north?

Baymule, just curious, is the coconut oil needed? Or is it just a way to take the powder easily? The reason I ask is, the local health food store carries it in capsules.

High Desert Cowboy- How far is it up north?

I seem to recall turmeric is used in Indian cuisine. Of course, you would have to eat quite a bit at one time....
