I think we have settled on Zeus for Spot and Ares for Tiggs.
And yes, there has been a lot of carrying around Zeus! I love our tile floors though, they are fantastic for the sandy soil we have so that the particles don't get into things. And, of course, for accidents. With 5 cats and now 5...
These two are settling in well after a long drive yesterday/early this morning. :)
They say that Florida is much hotter than North Carolina! And that the goats are strange for being scared of them. ;)
Idk! Poor babies.
They are no worse for the wear this morning. Much less "full" looking, but we held back their grain last night too so that may be contributing to that.
I'm just glad they didn't ever show any symptoms other than the loose poops. No lethargy and their famacha scores are all...
We just dosed them according to that thread about an hour ago! I figured since that agreed with what Pearce said (when calculated appropriately) that it would be fine for them.
Getting 25mls in Ruby was no easy task! The others weren't any easier than her but the had less. That stuff must taste...
Thank you for that info!
@ Pearce Pastures: Does that dosing sound right?
Also, is it better to under or overdose? Last time we weighed them (about 5 weeks ago), they were 30, 27, 26, 19, and 12.5lbs. I know that they have all gained weight, but I am really unsure how much. Ruby may be up to...
@Goat Whisperer: Thank you for that link, the close feed store has DiMethox! I always forget that Archer has a feed store, we use the one in Gainesville because it's much larger and carries the food we wanted to use. What they have is a gallon container of it, according to the lady on the phone...
Well I checked out our TSC and feed store, neither had DiMethox or Albon, only Corid. I bought Corrid just in case.
I called our vet but I know his wife recently had a baby, about a month ago, so I'm not sure he will respond today or even tomorrow, he hasn't been working much. There aren't any...
So, we just got the girls weaned about a week ago when they turned three months old. Today I noticed they are getting loose poops, and I'm not sure what to do about it. The poops are dark and runny, but not completely liquid. They are not smelly, either.
They are eating a small amount of grain...
I don't know... It's one thing to pay the vet bill, it was only $250. We paid $450 for him and $200 to have his body hauled away today... I don't think our neighbors have another $650 just laying around... Not that it would do much good, LGDs are around $800 here... :( not something I should be...
Yea.. He was doing fine at noon and was dead at 3:30 when I went outside to bottle feed the goats... The emergency vet we called on Sunday thinks his tetanus vaccines weren't effective enough or he didn't receive the right booster series when he was young...
Poor Cloud... I don't know what we...
Thank you @Hens and Roos. It's been a rough day. He was perky enough to fight us for his second penicillin injection this afternoon, and he seems to be bearing weight normally now on his leg.
Off and on all day we've stumbled outside to check on him only to hear the neighbors (their house is...
