Been busy with gardening, and caring for the herd, while trying to stay dry.

So I'm going to try dried clover that was done this year.

I have chickens, rabbits and quail but I have raised pigs, cattle, turkeys and goats.

It's only supposed to be given as a treat. The only other grain would be bird seed, its the only other grain I have.

Right now all I'm feeding is cracked corn and hay. They've been on that for a week now. But the corn is causing constipation in my buck rabbit.

I know they probably wouldn't grow near as fast. All my research says the commercial available food is the best way but I want to reduce my dependency on the feed store.

Ok I was trying to raise them like they did in the 1930s during the great depression.

I am looking at feeding my Flemish Giant mix rabbits naturally without using the commercially made pellets. I was wondering if there is a alternative food source than the pellets?

I have been raises different livestock now for 14 yrs on my own. I have a limited knowledge with horses, and sheep but I have a expansive knowledge base on other livestock.
