My husband and I have raised three great kids who are now out on their own. All the years of raising kids I hoped to be out in the country, but the opportunity didn't present itself until recently. We now have over a dozen acres of woods and pasture with a creek running through the back. It's ideal! I love it. Now I'm waiting for the grandbabies to start rolling in so we can share this little paradise with them.

We currently have four sheep, 8 chickens, a rooster, 15 guinea fowl, three cats and a dog. Our dog is a goldendoodle, and one of my other current pursuits is training him to be a therapy dog. Evaluations are in process, so soon we should be a working team. Yay! One of these days I hope to get a livestock guardian, but we don't have the funds at present. All in good time!

Glad to have found this little community. I look forward to learning from you all. Thanks so much!
