Hi,
We recently bought a buck yellow dutch to breed with two yellow Dutch does in Spring.
I have a Lionhead cross and a Netherland dwarf too.
Would I be able to put my Dutch buck on a netherland dwarf (false dwarf) doe?
What about a Lionhead doe?
Hi,
I've had a hard year, family illness, having covid (my brother almost died from it) and my best rabbits fatally catching rhd.
Long story short- Rabbit escaped 23 days. I tried to buy another. Many messers later....
someone finally came back to me, I jumped on the chance.
She was a scruffy...
quite bad, it was a few months ago.
there was nothing I could do, my parents don't vaccinate pets.
I've got a Guinea pig now (toffee). They don't get the disease.
I had a surprise baby guinea pig too. The woman I bought Toffee from, must have not separated her from her brothers.
I bought...
Hi,
My baby rabbits are 4 days old now.
I have looked today and there is random white bits on them.
one looks like a Dutch mark (incomplete Dutch markings). But the other have a few odd white spot s.
it's not broken as neither is broke n.
I know the mum carries none of it (the man only breeds...
Turns out there is not one.
there's two or three!!!
the nest is really deep. So I could only make out one before. Or they have babies dad apart?
The babies have both black and pink skin.
so maybe back and white? Maybe the buck was a non visual Dutch marked?
Thanks,
unfortunately, I can only keep it if it's a girl.
worst case scenario I'll keep a baby from her nest year.
I'm happy she can raise her babies now. means she can breed next year!
they would stop me buying it (I don't drive or have a bank account), anything I buy I have to give them the money, for them to get it for me.
The Doe didn't like the cardboard box and destroyed it completely in one night. (She wouldn't even sleep in the bedding area, till it was gone).

Hi,
I've recently been told that Netherland dwarfs (not even just the true dwarf x true dwarf) are hard to breed.
As a result I am keeping a baby back from my mix breed (not my Netherland) for breeding.
Is there any other breeds that are hard to breed for first time breeders?
for the previous for I have put a bit of wood near the door, that will be a bit of a ledge to stop too young babies getting out.
My grandad suggested it and cut it for me.
picture to show wood ledge thing. She can get in and out easily with it.
If it works, will do same for other doe.
