We used to give him senior feed, but we thought that sweet feed would put more weight on him because it has more sugar in it. Guess not... Thank you for the helpful info! We will put him back on his senior feed.

Today he was pacing the fence galloping around and throwing his head when he knew I was coming back to feed him sweet feed. He gallops a lot now. If he can gallop fine without a rider why can't he with?

I trotted and canter on him for a good 5 mins today. He stopped a few times but I clucked and he sped up. He kinda started to run to the gate but I turned him around the other direction.

Right before we got him the guy said that they had just taken him to vet and they said he had minor arthitis. The guy said we could gallop on him. But he also said his wife was riding him and when she was going up a steep hill with him he was stumbling so she jumped off.

I am not sure we got him a couple months ago. My parents wanted him for the little kids to ride because he was so calm and easy going. But since a couple of weeks ago we he started losing weight and he looks horrible now! How would I know if he's had teeth done? Is there a way to tell?

He will gallop to the post when I am riding him. He does this so I can dismount him. That's why I now dismount him in the middle of my field. But he also will gallop when I let him into my big field for him to graze. I do ground work with him. No he is not at all pushy, He would rather not...
