Drink Droving by Tom Curtain
Old Joe was a farmer, lived off the...
I agree - when I first heard of him, I just brushed him off thinking he was probably just another, showman, training his horses tricks etc... but then I actually took the time to watch his video and wow.... he is awesome... and on doing some research, he mostly works with mares, often with their...
For those of you who have not seen this amazing young man with his horses, it takes liberty work to a whole new level... the Frenchman works with 8 horses and more in an open enviroment on the beach as well as in his show... If he ever comes to the USA I will be getting tickets to see this...
Some, many or few of you may have seen this video clip of the kid goats jumping over the bull in the pasture... if you haven't already seen it, check it out, very cute and funny.

yes thats the mini goat I am looking for LOL Like snowflake, she is the goat I have a vision of in my mind, small, floppy ears and in proportian.. I a solid little goat but I was wanting one in proportion.... I am now off to read about Houdinis adventures.... ;)
okay, well we will make sure it is level, might lay a small concrete slab down and make a chute in a permanent fixture so this way I can just put scales down when needed. I thought about the lambs and adults thing too.... will have to figure something out on that one.
I have called our ram...
Thanks Shady, that is the best price I have seen... my fiance can make a cage to go around it so that won't be a problem, or we can put an extra couple removable gates in our chute as we have some old cattle pens here which were converted to goat pens at some stage.. and a chute etc.. already...
What are your experiences with scales for weighing sheep, goats etc. What brands have you found the best and why and where have you purchased them without spending an arm and a leg!!!
Have been searching for a set of used scales and also looked on ebay and craigslist, but I it would be helpful...
Oh I have been tempted, but still it really does worry me... and we had over 100 days of over 100F last summer with a number of days reaching between 110 & 115... so that is the part that really worries me. Everyone suffered in that heat, the horses included..... poor sheep... glad I have hair...
The MTG smells like engine oil  so doesn't have a particuarly pleasant smell but doesn't stink either.
I wondered that, about his thick tail... most welsh ponies have really good tails, but then others will tell you that most ponies in general, especially those from Britain grow good...
I thought of them, but I know nothing about them and no offence, but I think it would worry me when they faint... like I said, I am totally clueless about all goats and even moreso about the mytonic goats... can you get those that don't faint??? What are the chances of getting one that doesn't...
Thanks for that, could be interesting to look into... I am not interested in the actually meat side of things, just more for pets... sounds bizarre I know... I like the pymys but I would really like a mini goat that was more in proportion... not a short legged little barrel on legs... and if I...
Yes moving any of those hardy but flighty breeds would be quite a task in the dark... think I will stick to daylight hours, and let the dogs do the work... and during the day, I can see the dogs.... bit difficult to see the dogs when we are moving cattle at night because they mostly black...
Well that is very interesting..... we move cattle a lot at night, especially on a moonlit night.... not for any particular reason except my fiance is a night owl, always has been, sleeps very little and when he does, it is during the day... which drives me nuts :he So it is usually 4pm when he...
