It would be hard to seperate them now as they share the same section of the barn. A vet mentioned a nose ring, haven't been able to find any in our area yet. We are new to this. Lol

We have two 4 month old steer calves that won't stop trying to nurse each other. My concern is that they are starting to get some horns and we also have 3 new baby calves that will join the herd in a few weeks. How much grain should they get when you take the first bottle away? Right now the are eating about 1 pound of grain a day. I will definatly wait until the right age. Thanks for your experienced knowledge.

So taking away one of the bottles isn't a good idea?

When can you start to wean them off their bottles? My calves are 3 weeks old and are eating grass, some hay and some grain.
