My buck does the same thing. Sometimes he will be pumping away and then just stop and lay on her back for a minute to rest lol. I don't consider it a bad thing but it def doesn't count as a fall off. Seems to me to just be part of the "dance".

Nice! I tried to rebreed both my girls yesterday too. Only one was cooperative. Oh well. I will keep trying this week. At least I got the meat mama bred. I know I will be grateful for that come mid winter.

So, I just got my first rabbit tattoo outfit. I sprung for the inkinator, ordered from KW cages. I also got a bunny burrito to wrap the little ones up when I am marking them. It seems pretty straight forward. Slow, deliberate lines on the inside of the left ear.

Yesterday I processed Maples first litter. A batch of 9 at 10.5 weeks old. They weighed between 4.5-6 lbs! I was thrilled with the weights, my average being right above 5 lbs. This was my first batch so I am VERY happy to know my meat breeding pair (Am. chin buck and NZ doe)...
Got a chance to use my bolt gun yesterday for the first time. Overall I was very pleased with it. I processed 9, 10ish week old rabbits ranging from 4.5-6 pounds. Of the 9, one screamed after the bolt before I could decapitate it.
Some observations: I think with the right placement the gun...
