When should mama go out to pasture with baby?

I would say keep her in her stall with the baby... Especially so they can bond well. Had a ewe (not a doe, I know, but similar) who did not bond well with lamb and the lamb was always being kicked when it wanted milk [PROBLEM!]

    Manure

Same with me... Manure goes into the garden in late fall or winter and usually composts by the next spring (planting time).

    Introduction

Hello! Welcome! Can't wait to hear about you and your goats!! I don't have goats, but have Katahdin sheep (who always seem like goats in disguise ;)), we breed them for meat as well... Had some cousins with Oberhaslies, though (SUPER CUTE by the way). Anyway....... WELCOME!!!!

Fix BYH 'Current Herd Animal(s)' area

When I go to my profile page and click the little 'About' tab, it shows 'Current Herd Animals', but when I go to add more in my settings, it will only let me do so many characters. I have to shorten things like 'chickens' to 'chickns'. Is there any way I/somebody else could fix this? I also...

    Bucking Horse!

We have a 20(Ish) year old gelding and he recently started bucking. He has not been doing this before and it seems like he might be in pain. He has a nerve problem in his foot, but after getting special shoes from the farrier, he has done fine for a couple months [until now]. He has been getting...

    Horses?

Thank you for the heads up, and I will look on those websites. I'm looking for a Trail Riding horse, and I am not the most experienced, but the horses that I ride sure are fiesty, and I can handle them alright. ;)

    Horses?

Does anyone know where to get an inexpensive, but well trained horse? I know there is probably not many places, much less places in the NW.
