There are two alpine does a month old up the road for sale.
I had told the woman 2 months ago I had wanted girls and if I could buy them. And now because of all the car troubles I can't get them!

The woman is selling the mommas so I won't be able to get more at another date.
I am just so.... :barnie

On a good note she is coming over to disbud the girls for me on Tuesday.

I'm thinking she means that b/c of the car troubles (repairs took the money she coulda spent on kids) that she can't get them, it's not the distance....?

I'm sorry, that stinks. Darn broken cars....

So Sorry crazyland. Gas 3 to 4 bucks a gallon, rising cost of everything. Hay, feed, medicines for the animals.
This year we had a very serious discussion about selling our entire herd due to cost of feed and such. If we don't break even they may still be going, but so far this season I have been doing really well selling babies, we are keeping our fingers crossed that we can justify our hobby.

I wish you the best of luck that you will find a way to bring some girls home for your farm.

I am in central NC just south of Raliegh.
She is just 5 minutes away, literally up the road.
Yes, because of the cost of repairs there is nothing left for anything else, all the savings went poof.
I have such a small herd that it isn't much to raise them. I just really wanted some Alpines.
Oh well. I have atleast made a friend in all this and someone that can help me locally when I have questions.
