I have a seven week old Nubian buckling. His belly button is sticking out... a lot. Maybe it's a type of hernia? I haven't seen this before in any of my goats. It's soft and doesn't seem to bother him at all. Is there anything I should do or just leave it?

I had a lamb with this a couple years ago and I asked the vet what to do about it. I was told to take a milk bottle cap, put some glue on the cap, push the hernia in, stick the cap over the hernia, and then wrap the belly with vet wrap (or the stickier version) to keep everything in place. I think I left the stuff on for a couple weeks. It worked beautifully.

I've done the same thing with calves and foals, and used quarters on puppies, lol.
