What size dog crate do I need to transport baby goats under 8 weeks old? I'm getting 3 and I need to go buy a crate I was thinking the:
36"L x 25"W x 27"H pet taxi they have at walmart might work?
or is that too small? They are standard dairy breed. Can I go any smaller or do I need to go bigger?

I would get as large as I can afford and that will fit into your vehicle, because you are probably going to need one from time to time and those little ones will grow and you might have to transport a couple of grown goats at the same time down the road. And later on if you have kids and need to take them to the vet you will need to take momma along too in the same crate. Just put something in the bottom so they don't slide around if it's one of those plastic crates, like a small rug with a rubber backing, or that nonslip drawer liner stuff. It will need to be something you can wash if need be. Hope that helps.

If you have time, check craigslist or yard sales. I have numerous crates of different sizes. I like the crate to just big enough for them to stand up. If you go large, they tend to get flopped around more. My opinion.
