image.jpg I've been reading posts on here for a few years, so I figured I better join! I moved to California from the east coast two years ago with three dogs and a cat and my landlord happened to have a little barn and pasture that were empty. You can probably guess what happened after that!

I now have Nigerian Dwarf does, an Angora buck, and my first Nigora kids due this weekend. I have a large flock of layer hens, a few bantam chickens, a few ducks, a llama (who is failing as a herd guardian, but I love him anyway), two livestock guardian dogs, two barn cats, two house cats, three house dogs, and one disabled rabbit. I work at a vet hospital and am starting to develop a career in animal behavior. I do a lot of animal rescue, so at the moment I'm caring for 15 kittens (most being bottle fed) with more on the way. Above all else, nothing is more important to me than my faith! I feel so blessed and I'm thankful for every experience God has given me.

The photos that I took with my phone upright come out sideway?

Samson the llama, Goldie the doe, and her daughters Pandora and Pegasus

Boris the Crumpled (my frizzle rooster, he's even smaller than my silkie hens)

My angora buck before getting sheared (he's small too, about 50lbs)

From left to right: Goldie, Pegasus, Pixie, Penny, and at the very bottom a little piece of Pandora's side.

Welcome to BYH teaspoon! Nice to have you here!
Wow! Sounds like you have a lot of animals! And also sounds like we have a lot in common! We have a lot of animals here too, at my parents' farm, and I love it! God has blessed me with many animals, and I am grateful! (Can you tell I'm a big animal-person?) :D I have a Nigerian Dwarf buck! :D I wanted a smaller goat since my girls are more towards the small side, and don't want them to have problems trying to deliver large babies! :) The girls have a small amount of Nigerian in them as well. :) Please keep us updated on your does' kiddings, and congrats!
