Exploring the pasture
I've been reading posts on here for a few years, so I figured I better join! I moved to California from the east coast two years ago with three dogs and a cat and my landlord happened to have a little barn and pasture that were empty. You can probably guess what happened after that!
I now have Nigerian Dwarf does, an Angora buck, and my first Nigora kids due this weekend. I have a large flock of layer hens, a few bantam chickens, a few ducks, a llama (who is failing as a herd guardian, but I love him anyway), two livestock guardian dogs, two barn cats, two house cats, three house dogs, and one disabled rabbit. I work at a vet hospital and am starting to develop a career in animal behavior. I do a lot of animal rescue, so at the moment I'm caring for 15 kittens (most being bottle fed) with more on the way. Above all else, nothing is more important to me than my faith! I feel so blessed and I'm thankful for every experience God has given me.
