I got my very first (ever) goat! His name is Leopold. He is black and white . . . and he is a wether. He loves to hang out with his buddies Maisy and Clementine. He was bottle fed by the previous owners just once or twice . . . he is about 4 or 5 months old and he is ADORABLE. I love him so much! We've only had him for five days, and he is just starting to get used to me. Just today he only started to not run away when I walked up to him. Before, the only way he would not run away is if I literally crawled on the ground and kissed to him while saying his name. Now, I can just walk right up to him the right way! I'm sure he will get better in the next couple weeks!
The only question I have to whoever knows how to answer this is . . . . since he has two other goat friends . . . will he ever follow me around?? He follows Maisy because she is the oldest and the "boss". But will he ever follow me around if I work and play with him everyday and feed him and pet him?? Or is he only bonded to Maisy?? I'm really curious!
I hope you like what I'm doing with Leo and I can't wait to share more about him!!! Comment on anything you want!!

Congratulations on getting your first goat! What breed is he?

You call castrated male goats wethers. :) Two of our three goats will follow me around almost anywhere, especially if I have some alfalfa.

My goats (I have 3) are all very bonded to each other as well as to me and my husband, and really anyone who will spend some time with them. As long as you spend time with them, they will love you!
