I joined because I wanted to learn as much as I could before getting sheep(which I still don't have yet).

Since joining I've met many people. Many are my best friends! This is a huge + for me(as a homeschool kid).

BYH is also a VERY good way to help your animals! If you have a sick animal and don't know very much about that kind of animal just post a few pix and a description in a thread and the people on BYH will run over to help you. It's great!


So, I know this is an EXTREMELY old thread but I figured I'd post anyway.

New here. I spent a year on backyard chickens researching before I got my first chickens. Now we are living on our land full time and I want cows. Here I am, researching again!

I live in Alaska and have just a dog right now am going to get back into goats this summer!
