Sorry about your pig :(
Just a thought, but I've read that if a pig doesn't have access to water for awhile (or perhaps won't drink it if it's too yucky) they can get salt poisoning, they can be ok if you can get water into them... maybe read a little about salt and pigs to see if anything fits with either the one who died or the one who's left. Hope he will be ok.

Sounds to me like it could be a case of dehydration. Have you checked the temp of the survivor? If it's normal, it's likely not an infection of some kind. Also, it's not at all unusual for dead animals to have froth coming from their mouth or anus. The food they ate will start to decompose, and since the muscles that keep food/fecal matter in are relaxed, the gas bubbles will come out. Sorry for your loss!

Aww, that's too bad. Sorry about your pig and hope the other one makes it. Your friend is no friend to treat your animals like that.

Pigs do suffer from depression. another pig will help but it will take a little time for it to bond with the new pig. It takes animals a little time to heal also.
