Not a great photo of the ewe lamb. This is her walk about this am...I don't let them out of the pen unsupervised.

I have to ask....How does everyone do this?? It is terrible looking at a beautiful little thing and having no idea what to do!!!!

Yes, it is hard sometimes. Yes, you fail sometimes. But you have to ask yourself 'why'. Why are you doing what you do? For me it's the good times, when a lamb runs on grass the first time, when your prize hen brings home a ribbon, when you take a long drink of whole milk, or bite into that nice steak. Yes, I feel guilty that I couldn't save someone sometimes but that's just part of raising animals. If you have animals some are going to die eventually. We do what we can, learn to accept our failures, and always look forward to the good times...

Maybe that was not what you had wanted but that's how I feel about it.

Oh my goodness I am over the moon.....the little ram latched onto the nipple after looking for it and drank 7 oz all on his own!!!! I am so happy right now...even though it may be short lived....I am celebrating!!!

I thank each and everyone of you for your well wishes, prayers, words of wisdom, and advice!!!!

HI!! Update again....all is going so well!! We have added 5 more bottle feeders...what an education!! I believe having bottle lambs in our lives is therapeutic!!! So adorable and growing so fast. Thank you to everyone who have shared their experience with me!! Huge help!!

We are still waiting for our own yearlings(now) to have their first babies...nervous sheep momma here!! the girls are so big but with full fleece they look bigger than they are. The breeder says they are looking good. I will say that they have grown so much it is hard to believe they will be mommas soon. The weather here is good.

Prayers that everyone is having/had a great lambing season!!!

You just have to smile ear to ear when things go perfectly and as desired. Congrats on all so far! Wishing nothing but more of the same!

We have new lambs. Successful lambing twins! One ewe lamb and one ram lamb. Mama has been great so far! She had them mostly natural. Had to help slightly because the second be was bigger than the first. But other than that. She and they are good!!!!
