Totally support the replies given here! I'm looking into breeding my Khemosabi bred Half Arab mare but it's purely because I want to keep the foal. From what I've seen there's no way to ethically make money on horses unless you are very very experienced and really have the whole thing figured out. Even then most people don't make a dime, especially considering the time that is put into the venture. There's hundreds of horses still going to slaughter and, while I'm of the debatable opinion that if slaughter was humane I wouldn't have a problem with it, why contribute to an overpopulation of unwanted horses?

Okay, so after reading through this thread I've come up with enough to say if you have the time, and money, and don't need a pure horse, just go to the BLM and adopt a mustang, and you'll have what you want.
