Just wanted to pop in and introduce myself. My name is Suzanne. My husband and I have a small farm in Central Kentucky, but we began our adventure in goat and chickens in our backyard in Cincinnati in 2011.
We currently have a mix of animals - three ND goats, 1 mini mancha, a rescued French Alpine, a rescued Boer mix, a mini manpine two brand new manpine kids, a Southdown babydoll sheep, chickens, two livestock guardian dogs, two chihuahuas, a rescued Jackabee and three cats. Needless to say, I need farmy friends and unfortunately in our area, the only thing most people raise is cattle, hay and cane! ;) I am very happy to be here and hope to learn a lot and exchange ideas. Happy Spring to all! Hope its warm where you are!

Greetings and welcome to BYH Suzanne! So glad you joined us. There's a wealth of info, knowledge and experience shared in the multitude of threads. Browse around and see what interesting stuff you can find. By all means post away when the desire strikes you, especially if you have questions (provide as much detail/info as possible and pictures truly help)... With all the great folks here, generally someone will respond in no time at all. Please make yourself at home!

:welcomeWe are located just north of the Ohio River in Southeast IN. We too have several Nigerians and will be starting a Mini Lamancha program with our Nigerian bucks and 2 Standard doelings we just bought. I have a Nigerian buckling from milk lines for sale if you might be interested. You’ll discover that we do a lot of networking and like to meet each other when possible. In fact my two Lamancha doelings are from @Southern by choice and @Goat Whisperer in NC.

We also have chickens, beef cattle, pigs, and a LGD. We also raise most of our own hay.

Everyone enjoys reading about each other’s days, experiences, and learn from each other. We also provide a support system that gets each other. I’ve made numerous life-long friends.

You can start a journal if you like under the social section. Several of us use that and then post individual threads where appropriate too. Others just create threads that are relevant to the particular topic. Feel free to choose whichever you think would work best for you. Just remember that we really like pictures and aren’t afraid to ask for them. :)
