Greetings and welcome to BYH from NE TX! So glad you joined us, but sorry to hear the reason that brought you here. There's a wealth of info, knowledge and experience shared in the multitude of threads. I don't recall seeing or hearing of anything specifically like you've described... sorry... I own goats but can't think of anything that would simultaneously affect the head and private parts. Browse around and see what interesting stuff you can find, and "meet" some of the good folks who "reside" here. By all means post away when the desire strikes you, especially if you have questions (provide as much detail/info as possible and pictures truly help)... With all the great folks here, generally someone will respond in no time at all. Please make yourself at home!

PLEASE put at least your general location in your profile. It could be very important if/when you ask for or offer help or advice. You know, climate issues and such. I recommend at least your state as most folks won't be able to figure out where if you put anything more specific (county, town, street, etc) by itself. Old folks like me will never remember from this post & look there first. To add it, mouse hover over Account top right and a drop down will appear. Click on Personal Details and scan down. You'll see the spot for Location. Then go to the bottom and save changes. Thanks! Hope you enjoy the site!

Hate to say it but would have liked to see pics of that. Are they OK now? What treatment did the vet use to help them recover?

If the swelling of the head seemed to be from bone structure enlargement, look for plants containing oxalates.

BYH member The Old Ram can probably help you more.
Those physical symptoms in horses is usualy called bighead, but just about any grazing livestock can be affected by it and it is known to be caused by what kind of grains or hay are fed. It's a result of calcium to phosphorous ratio being out of whack.

They went on charcoal , penicillin and oil treatment plus some liquid stuff to stop dehydration. Plus they were not allowed out in the sun and had to be inside till night. they are still not 100% and still getting penicillin treatment hopping that the liver will recover enough. They only got slight yellow tinge in the eye now and not fully yellow like it was in the eyes and the mouth. this is only photo i got and she was not the sicker one but as you can see her mouth is hanging open
