Hi everyone, I'm looking to do a complete overhaul of my rabbitry. I raise pedigreed standard Rex rabbits and would like the biggest cage size available which seems to be 36X30X18 (correct me if i'm wrong).
Does anyone have any brand suggestions? Most well made cages for a decent price? I would prefer stackable but not 100% necessary. In my area purchasing used cages is proving difficult (phoenix, AZ). Thanks in advance for your help =]

We made our own and that is the exact size we have for our Silver Foxes. Trouble with the depth for me is trying to get a rabbit that decided to scrunch up in a corner. We plan to re-do our rabbitry with cages about 4 inches shorter in depth but longer so about the same floor space but also with bigger doors and every doe will have a drop nest compartment....dreaming of the day!

thank you! I was worried about the depth as well, I have short arms and a scrunched bun is hard to reach. It seems making them myself might be he best route. Do you think the dropped nest boxes are safe?

The way we do ours in particular, yes. Ours are in a compartment that can be closed off when not being used but you also can easily place a wire top in place over one if you are concerned about a rabbit going into zoomie mode and getting hurt when not in use.

My cages are too deep to, so I just reach in by going half way into the cage lol, and grab the rabbits. If I had to do the cages over, they would be a few inches shorter. But so far it's not worth the trouble as I only reach in the cages to pick up the rabbits for breeding or need them out when cleaning the cages.
