Hello From Indiana (and BYC)

Hi Herd folks! Thank you for letting all us chicken people crash your forum for a few days.

I'm a hobby farmer wanna-be, but all I can have right now is chickens and turkeys. Well, and dogs and cats and indoor pets.

I've been a budgie breeder for about 8 years, and a chicken keeper for 2 1/2 years. My username Finnie comes from the first budgie hen I ever owned. I used it when I joined an Australian budgie forum, and I've been using it for every forum I've joined ever since.

Since I joined BYH, I've mostly stuck to the BYC conversion section. But when I have time I plan to look around and see what other things you all talk about here. So far I've been working hard at learning all the ins and outs of using the features here.

Looking forward to meeting some new friends!

Hi Finnie. I also recently joined on BYH during the BYC conversion. I've done a little exploring of this site and found a lot of good forums that have very good information and sound advice just like on BYC.

Hi Baymule!

Ummm, budgie stories. I'll have to think on it. I do have a couple of photos on my phone. This is my hand fed boy, Groot:



He can talk. He says lots of things, including "I am Groot". My grandsons are named Westley and Charlie. So I taught Groot to say "Oh my sweet Westley! What have I done?" And "Charlie bit me. And that really hurt!"

I feel bad. I wrote this intro thread when I joined BYH almost 2 years ago, and I never checked back to say thank you to all these nice people who welcomed me. Well, thank you, everyone!
