Hi! I'm fairly new to having sheep. I have 2 Katahdin wethers that are about a year old now. One of them recently developed some pretty horrible (almost onion-garlicky) breath. I also noticed a small lump in his neck. He doesn't appear to be in any pain but I'd like to address whatever is going on with him. He is current on CD+T shot (2 weeks ago) and I do worm regularly with Safeguard.

Any ideas? If you google bad breath for sheep, all you get his human and dog answers... LOL

Thank you so much for even reading. I love my lamb and want to do right by him.

I agree, haven't heard of that one. Usually their breath will smell like acetone or some kind of nasty fermented thing at this time of year, and that's the rumen adjusting to fresh spring grass. The lump could be a milk goiter. Good luck!

I agree with the wild onion theory....not sure where you live but there are tons of those around Tennessee and could be he's just eating them :)
