Sorry for you and the old girl. Could you 'have joint custody?' I did this with an old girl of mine who had very little milk. they stayed with and suckled off mum, but I gave them 3 good bottles a day. It worked out well for all of us.

I think that I will try that. If it makes her mama happy to have her doeling with her then she has earned that happiness. Yep, I am a push over.

Too true. These ancient models are either fat, lumpy and with bellies stretched to the floor, or sunken flanked ,scrawny, even emaciated and tired-looking. Recipients of pitying comments from visitors 'Poor old girl','Seen better days', 'Is she ill?" etc etc. They limp along, belly full of treats, their only useful purpose being that they are pets.....and we love them to bits.
