Blossom had her babies!

Right on schedule, day 31-32. Monday she was due and Tuesday morning when I checked on her, her nest was FULL of moving fur! Ten in total but one didn’t make it, so we have nine living kits. She did an amazing job! She separated the one that didn’t make it to the outside of the nest, away from the living kits. She let me check and count them, and clean up the little mess there was. She’s been grooming herself and is calm. I dont know why, but I expected her to be skittish and really protective of her nest. She is comfortable with me though, so that is reassuring. All nine kits are wiggly and warm. They’re much more active than I thought they’d be. I plan to check on them a few times a day to make sure everyone is in the nest, warm and being fed. Any other advice?

Don't expect super full bellies for a couple of days. And she will probably only feed them 1 to 2 times a day. Congratulations!

PLEASE put at least your general location in your profile. It could be very important if/when you ask for or offer help or advice. You know, climate issues and such. Congratulations! Be sure to check for dead babies everyday and make sure the nest is nice and dry
