We purchased the sheep a few days ago and the lady sent us a message telling us that she used the "Cafeteria mineral system" which got me looking into it since I hadn't heard of it.

I feed my sheep a mineral block from Orschelns which is for Sherri and goats though just the generic store bought stuff. https://www.orschelnfarmhome.com/sheep-and-goat-protein-block-33-3-lb-109505499.html
I have seen other bags of minerals at Rural King and Tractor supply but I know nothing about them really. I saw one bag that said it was for sheep but had copper in it. (I don't know what the min is for copper in sheep so I didn't get it.) I saw another that said it was 3.5% calcium and another that said 20% calcium.
I'm not opposed to feeding bags of minerals not mixing my own, but the amounts and what to use scares me that I'll end up hurting them instead of helping.

What do you all use for you minerals?

We use bagged mineral from a local feed store but it's analysis is fairly close to what TSC sells. We give minerals free choice along with another product called Sea90 instead of or with regular loose salt. We have feeders on all of the gates that we rotate through. Sheep need a minor amount of copper but I don't know the amount.

I buy Dumor sheep mineral from TSC. I also offer dolomite lime and azomite.

Haha, glad that I answered this! I opened up TSC web page to provide a link for you and there is a 48 hour online sale. I just bought 2 metal saddle racks for the price of one! They will be delivered to my local store. :celebrate It is on our radar to finish the feed and tack room in the barn, or at least get it useable. My saddles are stacked up in the portable building along with lots of other stuff. Getting these racks, especially at half price is awesome.:D =D
