Western Mass area.

We aren't ready to bring home our own buck yet, but have a doe that needs to be bred ASAP (or I'm selling her rump, because she's an overeating brat.)

I have a very small homestead dairy herd.
I don't fancy that my registered does are really anything special, but I do want the bare breeding minimums: clean tested, dairy line, registered.

Hopefully this one breeding buys us the time to get our own buck for my next to breed doe.

Please let me know if you have a buck service, or know of one in the area.

You may find AI is a good option also., if you can't find buck service :)

Would you know more about it?
I've read very little about it and only understand that it can be difficult to get it to take. Read something about proper storage needs being a bear...
Only need one for serviced "now". Doe 2 should wait until winter.

Do you have a vet for your goats ? Your vet should know who in your area provides AI service. You can also go onto the facebook goat groups and look at registered breeders that provide buck service or AI service.
PM Rachels.haven ( BYH member) she is in your area I believe, she may have , or know of some contacts for you. Good luck to you. :)
