Moses is probably just jumping over the fence. The Pyr I had, Trip, could clear it easily. Then he'd go to the gate, waiting to be let back in, because fences only have a one way direction.
I hope he’s not jumping. He would be uncontainable. Generally he doesn’t go far or even get off our land. But a busy road, the highway and a river with alligators are a worry. Along with lions, tigers and bears. Yep tigers. I’m within 60 miles of two sanctuaries. Not to mention my neighbor’s lemur. Said unmentionable beast wouldn’t hurt a dog but dang they make creepy noises. We were on the front porch one evening when Larry the Lovelorn Lemur began a serenade. Couple of wide eyed former Yankees there. I couldnt get the YouTube to link but check out lemur noises- a literal hoot.
County next to me just made it illegal to own any wildlife or exotic animals. People are so stupid, I think it's a good law. In my county, Trinity county, the people are the wildlife. Kinda hard to enforce that.
A large branch flattened a section of fence so Moses was just walking out. Happily the sheep didn’t follow him. This morning’s walkabout was brief and he discovered Our pond, a better place to swim then the neighbor’s. Maybe we should start the day with a swim, then breakfast then work. The pond is not fenced but heavily treed. Fencing could probably be tacked up and the area would benefit from being grazed. Fence building in August
