Hoping it works out for your benefit.For the foreseeable future, it will be a floater position. After I test out & am certified on the procedure(s), I'll be back to full time on the A-Shift Beamer schedule, but will move to the medical lab anytime she is out and there is work to do there.
There is an increase in pay. That will off-set losing the night shift differential.
However, there is a small chance, if the demand should increase dramatically, that they might consider starting up a night shift for production of that product. Since it currently only runs Mon-Thurs, I think they'd consider adding days on either a Thurs-Sun or a Fri-Mon instead.?
For now, it's all up in the air. I have to learn it - and pass testing first.

When he beat me to a fix it job with brightly colored duct tape, I was forced to smile and admire his handiwork when I really wanted to scream and pull my hair out.
