Aaaaand today - it's triplets and at that it's triplet ewe lambs!! And one is black!!!
Mama Ewe had triplets -- If I remember correctly she's had twins then two sets of triplets and now a third set.
All are healthy and up and about in the maternity stall.

And one of the wide load crew -- Mocha, a first timer - no idea what she'll do. So far not looking soon other than her girth.

Triplets! And all ewes too! That places you in a pickle, I know you want to keep ALL of them!
One of my registered ewes had triplets so I penned her up so I could give her extra feed. All thrived, I kept the 2 ewe lambs and gave the ram to my friend and neighbor, Chase. The ram was a beauty and Chase is delighted. I've never sold a sheep to him yet, I always give them to him. He's a good neighbor and maybe the score is tilted heavily in his favor, but when I need something, he's always there and that means a lot to me.

Correction to my triplet post - still three, all ewes but the black isn't black! Once dry she turned seal brown!! Ohhh she'll be a keeper.
The weigh in was 6.2, 6.4 and 6.6 lbs each - that's over 18#s of lambs! :ep:duc Thank God they are triplets!
@Baymule yeah - keep them all - but I've come around and with the last bunch of lambs figured only keep the best - so that's what I'm doing 🙂. So far, keepers are the first ram lamb with all the colors and the new seal brown ewe lamb. I should have some more colored ones on the way - but who knows!

Sage went with me to check on the lambs, feed, get weights, & daily barn chores this morning. All lambs are doing well, and Sage was great with them (one on one close supervision). So good - even cute pics!
Their first hello.

And a close up of the hair on this ewe lamb - seal brown and unlike any of my
other lambs it's coarse and not soft - like adult dorper hair. I'm really liking this
ewe lamb.
