Out here in jolly ol' So Cal my sheep butcher is $400/head - he comes to the ranch does the deed, skin/gut and takes back to his place. In about a week we pick up a box of custom cuts wrapped and frozen.
That said there are others for a lot less, but I've heard complaints from folks about the cuts and also strong belief that what they had processed was not their animal.

This guy is beyond stupid. I'm searching for a word that could describe the monumental amount of stupid, but that word does not exist. I hope he and his wife don't have any children and pass on his genes. That would be a travesty to the children.
You know how it is, these young kids don't know schit so we shouldn't listen to them. I'm only 5 years younger than him, but nevertheless I'm younger.
Actually he didn't procreate with current wife, though she did and has a daughter with 90% service connected PTSD from flying drones while sitting in a building that they are proud of. Damn if flying a drone and watching stuff on screen gives you PTSD, you better not watch TV.

I always think about that, the operator who flew a drone or the cook with PTSD who never stepped foot outside the wire or ever been shot at now 50 to 90 percent disabled cause of indirect action in war running around with service dogs, rocking the baseball caps with them being a vet, I should be beyond fcked as an infantryman who was there before any infrastructure was put up, living in blown up buildings, digging fox holes to live in every 12 to 24 hrs to prevent fixation on our position, rationed water and food cause we ran low giving it to the enemy. Seriously I could go on, but damn I should be in a mental facility by now in comparison. Out on patrol so long IV's of saline solution cause we couldn't hydrate enough. Even slept in body bags one time and had them up for window coverings. Guess that's why there is so few 100% ratings like I am.

I have tried to avoid bringing out my past through actions, but this job/person has pulled it out. Never know what you got on your hands till it's too late, now I need to finish and walk away from him when done. I read this coin and it reminds me of who I am and puts me back on track.

Not a very good salute to you... but the best I could find...

Those of us that were never there will never know.... but some of us can try to understand... My ex was one of the first in Vietnam... trying to build stuff in Cameron Bay while being shot at... cannot imagine what that was like either...

Yeah, you need to get away from them... they will continue to suck the life out of you... and honestly, I don' t see them lasting out there.....

Geeze.

For you --- Thank You is not enough, sounds hollow, admiration you've got that in spades from me.
I've worked here at the Naval Hospital for 20+ yrs using the dogs as interactive animal assisted PT (dog had to learn specialized behaviors etc requested by therapists) and in the psych wards (including locked - buzzed in and buzzed out). Made a difference helping those who came back broken. My small way of giving back.

Thank you for sharing.

While my husband never served overseas he was proud to be 11 Bravo, infantry, trained at Dix and Benning. He tried to go active in the early 80s, but was rejected for high blood pressure.

"Follow me, I am the infantry!"

I salute you and all those who have served honorably.
