Nice! I set up a cage for my broody, I am assuming the other chickens will try to kill the chicks- I am not taking any chances!

Cool! You probably wouldn't have any problems, but it's smart to keep them apart so you don't have that risk for the first couple weeks or so. :)

I think the eggs might hatch in 8 days... I sure hope they do hatch! It's kind of cold here at nights....

That's eggciting!! It gets cold at night in winter here too...if you don't mind, what state are you in? :)

No state! Just a province: Alberta. :-D The nights are not THAT cold, but since I have never had a broody hen, of course, I get nervous. Not much can go wrong with the natural way of hatching, right? :)

Oh right...sorry! Lol. I've had too many broodies to count! More can go wrong than you'd think, but it's def easier and cheaper than bator/brooder!
