You don't want to take off the milk replacer until the calf is eating at least two pounds of grain a day but again change must be done slowly however it is good to get the calf to drink from a bucket and get him off the bottle because it makes it hard to transition when they are used to...

Powdered milk. Trying to get him to eat grain from the hand. Not real successful. he is 5 weeks now. He had to eat two points a day before we take him off milk

What tricks do you use to get them to start eating grain from a bucket
