We are redoing our pigs pens and feeders. I gave up and have been feeding off the ground since they destroy everything else we’ve tried. I need ideas on destruction proof feeders lol

Ok. I was wondering if the area we will have to use would be too small. We have a total of 5 acres of you include all our land but due to the other farm dogs and mom and dads that live on property, plus only part of the land is used for livestock currently. Only those parts with livestock are fenced

Ya a couple years ago we had a coyote sitting right across the fence from our pig pen when we had babies.

I’m considering getting a lgd once I get sheep. What breeds are recommended and any training recommendations?

Oh dear. That sucks. Ya we can hear them. I’ve thought of getting a guardian dog but training one makes me nervous. I’ve trained other dogs but never for guardian.

I’m in southern Oregon so it’s dry here too. We have coyotes but not sure if bad enough to need in at night.

Hello, thanks for having me! I have a little farm with chickens, pigs, and a couple dogs. Working on adding more! Next will be sheep and maybe rabbits. Then a couple cows! Can’t wait for the horses, but they will most likely be last.
