Barockpinto Colt at 20 months old-pics!

I guess we misunderstood each other. I am aware that a medieval cresty, roman nosed horse is called Baroque type. However, I am referring to a specific breed called the Barockpinto, which is spelled this way because of it's origins. Linking to a group on Facebook with small membership as proof...

Barockpinto Colt at 20 months old-pics!

Normally i wouldn't make a point of it, but Dreamgait Friesians recently imported their horses from Europe & have Americanized the name. I followed the exports from this side. In the Baroque magazine, I see horses of baroque type with no horses of the breed Barockpinto & I guess if 130 people...

Barockpinto Colt at 20 months old-pics!

Actually the breed was developed in Germany & is spelled Barockpinto. Not everything can be Americanized-English is my mother tongue :) They do have a studbook & licensed stallions etc. They are becoming very popular in Europe. Luckily, because tobiano is so easy to breed for, the breed has...

Barockpinto Colt at 20 months old-pics!

Haha-actually he's a brat but I don't mind. He's knows how far he can push me & the consequences of pushing further :P Now I just need to work out how I can move him & my lamb to where I'm going to study.

    Name this colt :-)

Yup, that's me :-) My featherless chicken passed away last month from Bird Flu which swept the area :hit I have the bad luck of having chicken & turkey farms within the village so I'm not going to keep anymore chickens until I move. I'm worried enough about my Galah.

His father is an imported Friesian & his mother is a tall Paint mare. He stands around 15.1hh now (born 3.2011) & to make 16.3/17hh :ep I took some photos last night after my dressage with the big man (17.1hh Friesian)...

Shoshanna, the Cameroon lamb-pics & video

Hehe, yeah she was a hit :) I don't have any family in Israel so I had many Seder invitations but my criteria was that I came with the lamb which narrowed things down nicely to my closest friends' families who know the cleanliness & condition that I keep all my pets in. Shoshana was much better...

Shoshanna, the Cameroon lamb-pics & video

In coloring & that they are both hair sheep, yes. The Cameroon is a miniature hair sheep from West Africa. In 2008, there were less than 650 though I'm sure there are more now. They are a very primitive sheep & are much wilder than the Barbado which possibly came from Africa originally, before...

Shoshanna, the Cameroon lamb-pics & video

I went to visit a friend with Friesian horses on 2nd April & he mentioned that there had been two Cameroon Sheep twin births that morning but that one set of twins had no suck reflex & one had already died. I had no choice but to take on the other, a little ewe & after a night of begging, I got...

I'm editing this thread because it's at the top anyway, no need to post a new one. Here's my baby boy who measures over 15.2hh & weighed in at just over 1000lbs yesterday :-) He's a Feb '11 stud colt who has a wonderful, loving nature & a powerful jump. I'll be putting him into long lines in...

My rescue mare - Arabian X?

Buckskin tobiano crossbred. Maybe a bit of mustang in there. She does have a pretty head but it's Paint more than Arabian. She needs a lot more weight than she currently has. You shouldn't see any bones, especially not the spine. I'm sure you're feeding her up after her tough life so keep going...
